St. Patrick's Day wasn't kind to my son or his 1993 Comm Ed. He was driving his friend home at around 4:00 am. He saw a group of friends he knew and beeped to them. One of them ran over and did a Starsky & Hutch slide across his hood, caving it in. I took the car to get an estimate yesterday. $750 for a new hood and another $750 to paint it. The kid said he'd pay (Jeez I'd hope so), but I don't think he knew it would be that much. We don't carry collision on that car--too old. Today I'm going to look around for a good used rust-and-damage-free black hood. I'm in the northeast. Any recommendations within an hour or so of Bennington , VT?
