don't quite understand the question, BUT he either ran Posted by nicknick [Email] (#731) [Profile/Gallery] (more from nicknick) on Wed, 19 Mar 2008 17:09:22 In Reply to: question on turbos, michael erhardt, Wed, 19 Mar 2008 16:59:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
low on oil, or pressure relief stuck, causing no oil pressure. 'aftermarket turbo'? what does that mean? i would assume it is now shot, others might have a different opinion. the engine is not the weak point in these cars, as i understand it (unless ran without oil!), and all turbo engines are essentially the same, and plenty strong enough (1/2 V8 crankshaft means real strong!).
so, any turbo motor will go in, and if your trannie is still good, then you are fine. remember when buying a replacement engine, get a engine &turbo that go together, either later with water cooling, or earlier without (yours doesn't have water cooling, i think. hope that helps a little.
