lifting the auto-equipped engine (obviously the heaviest). the ends are supported one end on truss with 2x4 directly underneath (virtical support to ground), the other end is on both elements of the truss, with virtical supports added a few feet away. again, no more than 1/2" deflection on that end, none on the other. our snow load here is 45 or 50, so i figured the trusses can handle this when there is no snow.

i would appreciate a load calculation on the 4x6 if you get a chance-thanks, nick
