Alternator? or loose ground?

so everytime i put my 87' 900t into reverse and the reverse lights come on the cd player shuts off...and if im driving at night, lights on, cd player on and i brake, when the brake lights come on the headlights dim for a second then come right back to normal, and if i honk the horn the headlights dim for a second then come right back to normal...is the alernator on the way out? when i put the car in reverse and the lights come on the cd player shuts off real quick then right back on even with the car in reverse as if it didnt have enough juice at first to power everything but then did. the battery is recently new. maybe 5k on it? any help would be great. thanks!
