I am not sure if the cars are anymore valuable today as they were a year or two ago. I have been a collector of 900s .. as many of us are...because I like them...not for their "investment value" really. That said. if they are moving up in value I guess that's a good thing.

I can say in the past year or so I've seen the supply of 900's on the market become more and more tight with the number of 900s that are for sale decreasing dramatically...Rare or uncommon parts seem to be drying up too. Occasionally there will be something interesting out there that warrants a closer look..or someone sells something that they are not sure of what it is for a lowball price. It's times like that when I wish I had space for more!! I have too big a collection as it is and should probably sell off a few (LOL) so I would have more time to invest in a couple.

Over the years I've picked up what I think is a pretty complete collection of special 900s...My GOAL.. someday.. is to actually pull them all out into a parking lot somewhere and take a photo of them all together! I need a 91 SE Convertible in MC Yellow and a turbo 4-door though!!

For some I spent too much, others too little - I guess it evens out. Id like to see them go up in value though - even if it means spending a little more on insurance coverage. ;)

My collection:

1984 SPG, Pearl White [Prototype]
1986 Convertible, Manual, Silver
1988 Convertible SIS, Black
1991 SPG, Red
1991 SPG, Green
1993 3-door Commemorative #2/325 (#2/314 per Saab Museum), Black
1994 Convertible Commemorative #219/500, Nova Black

1985 2-door Notchback - 8V runs ok, I was thinking potential Ice Racer because of some rust issues...but if anyone wants it.. I may part with it for free if it goes to a good home. So I may post it someday in classifieds here or something, we'll see.
1989 3-door 900S - parts car, has collapsed front passenger suspension (rust)
1992 3-door 900 Base 2.1 liter - runs ok, but needs reverse gear fix.

... and at least 50 boxes, bins and barrels of parts!!! Ha Ha!
