I bought a 12x24 sheet of 16 gauge aluminum. It is thicker than flashing coil yet easier to work with /cut than steel. the 16 guage will also preclude my wife putting her high heals thru it!when she either hits hard on the brake or the clutch.

For the time being I'm gonna cut the AL and use the 5200 in a double seal ring.

Thanks for the advice on the welder- think I'll wait until I take the welding course in the adult school this Fall and get the right type for what I may want to do.
