My 1992 900 over heated after the AC died. I thought that keeping the ac on was useless, until i realized that the ac switch was the only thing keeping the fans going. I limped the car home with the switch on. The next morning i pulled the sensor, cleaned the gunk off R&R coolant for good measure. The fans worked fine ever since. The AC was still broken for about another week be fore it miraculously fixed itself--WEIRD.
Hope this helps,
BrettH
