Once the AIC has been cleaned out you can check the opertion by listening to it while the engine is running. Place one end of the screwdriver against the AIC with your ear against the other end....(but hopefully not the sharp one) and you should hear a buzzing noise at idle. Can unplug the AIC connection to tell the difference in the with/without sound.
