..AND you've driven the car, then you will be replacing that wheel bearing... THe CV and the Axle nut hold the bearing together and apply the pre-load. You can get away with a little fore and aft PUSHING of the car with the CVs out of the hubs, but not much else (and sometimes, not even that!)
Are you SURE all of the lug bolts were tight and holding the wheel on properly? Is it possible that the wheel got damaged someplace? Just a couple things to look at and verify before getting real spendy on the wheel bearing...
