Grab a nutdriver and tighten up all the hose clamps. Over time, the hose clamps loosen up. When the car is cold, there is no pressure in the system, so the coolant doesn't push out past the hoses. Start the car, and the coolant heats up and expands faster than the fittings. The coolant pushes past the hose clamps for a while until the fittings warm up and expand, sealing the leak. When the car cools off, it's a race between the coolant pressure dropping and the fittings shrinking.
Bottom line, tighten the hose clamps. And if it's leaking near the back of the engine - the firewall side, suspect a leaky water pump. Yes it is below the alternator. An inspection mirror is useful. If you see a drip from the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump, the seal has blown. If you see a trail of whitish or greenish powder, that's the sign of dried coolant.
