Kidding of course. Never lost one yet. The should not rust from the inside out if you use antifreeze and distilled water. I could see them rusting from the outside maybe? If your block does freeze, and the plugs do their job of relieving the pressure and get forced out of the block as the water expands upon freezing... I think you'd have already figured out you have a bigger problem? But you should be running that 50/50 or so mix to keep it from freezing and to keep the internal oxidation to a minimum, both Iron and Aluminum types.

How cold has it been there recently anyway?
