I've seen a picture of the inside of a pressure plate with a few brown(burn) spots - they say its "toasted". So I gather the PP's are not usually reusable - likely after 100-125K.
And I like the "socket bolt and washer come-along" approach for the bearing. I have read that I gotta use some wood and a hammer to insert the rear main seal- but no better details- I assume I gotta cut a round wood block to match the diameter of the seal and slowly/gently tap my way around - perhaps with a tack hammer?. Need advice here....
On the slave- yes- a repair kit is a lot cheaper but if I go the full unit, - I have read that the cheaper scanteck heater valve only lasts a fraction of the more expensive model- is it the same for the scantech vs saab slave cylinder? which is similarly more expensive - perhaps for a reason.
Thanks for the comments
