You shouldn’t have any problems in my opinion, just like everyone’s been saying be smart with loading and vehicle maintenance. Check your cooling system, a full size spare (trailer as well) and balance the load. Additionally I would recommend you install a pair of air lift spring bag’s in your rear coil springs, I think you can still get the kit through summit racing… actually I recommend them in general but especially with a trailer or when doing any heavy hauling.
My father has a medium duty 4x8 utility trailer that he’s been dragging behind his c900 years (rather every one he’s had for the last 20+ years) and he hasn’t had any major issues. One trip in particular we had to go 500 miles to my grandmother’s house to help build a deck with 35’-0 ramp, she was in (way) upstate NY and we were coming from Delaware. The nearest hardware store from her place was 12 miles one way so we wanted to be self sufficient. So we carted ourselves, all tools and hardware and concrete deck support’s (for supporting the deck) in his 92’ 900s and trailer. The supports alone weighed 50 pounds each and I think we had 16 of them. Point is the trailer was balanced perfectly and for the most part hardly felt its presence.
Now for what not to do: Don’t over load! We didn’t exactly have a plan from 500 miles away and to make a long story short, this was last minute planning as all other options had fallen through… so we didn’t order a lumber delivery in advance… and that hardware store that was 12 miles away, was on the way to her house… so we stopped off to get some material to start building with. Over caffeinated and exhausted from the trip we sort of purchased a little more than we initially expected and loaded his roof rack’s and the trailer with 2x’s and 5/4 decking (which was soaked from sitting in the yard)… all in all the car handled paved roads ok but I recall sitting on the hood and one or two of the yard guy’s sitting on the trailer to balance the load while navigating the yard driveway back to the main lot.
If you haven’t already done this, work on a cup holder as well… sounds like you have a long drive ahead of you.
Good luck and have a safe trip.
