I just looked on sponsors sites and realized that it looks like the formerly 1500 dollar ABS master cylinder units (w/ motor, pressure switches, reservoir, the whole unit) looks to be obsolete (the ATE system for the 90-94 c900's that is)

I just replaced mine on my car with a good used unit so I'm good for now.

But -- I look 10-20-30 years down the road... and what to do?

Can you swap pump motors from one to the other? If so, how does one just remove the pump motor? Should i keep my old motor then just in case for down the road?

My old unit had a fine pump, fine pressure switch, etc... but the main valve inside was leaky/bad. I was going to toss it but now that they are obsolete I guess I"ll keep my unit so that I can down the road scavenge parts (I'll label it BAD MAIN VALVE clearly or something)
