I don't know of a waiting time when replacing the fuse - after all, pulling the radio from the cage effectively turns off all the power. I do know that in some years if you enter the wrong code three times, the radio needs to be left on for an hour before it'll accept another try.
Leaving it disconnected for a bit can't hurt. Also, make sure all the radio fuses are OK.
