the front ones are easy as cake. i didn't even bother to remove the bolts up top. remove the nut at the bottom where it attaches to the lower control arm. you may need to jack up the control arm to relieve the pressure to slide the bottom of the shock off. then I just bent the top shaft a few times in opposite directions and it will snap right off (I learned this trick from Jim Moncreif). this will take you 5 minutes. installation is made super easy with air tools. since I know that you don't have air tools you will need to devise some way to get that self-locking nut on without turning the top shaft of the shock. there is a tool made for this purpose - similar to this:

but I just improvised on something else.
removing the bottom bolt for the rear shocks is in my mind the hardest thing i have ever had to do on any car. i you apply heat you will melt the bushing and then you will never get that bolt to slide out. getting the nut off the bolt is never a problem - it's pushing the bolt out of the sleeve of the bushing. i ended up having a friend cut out the base of the shock with a torch. if i had to do it now i would try using a gear puller or something similar, but space is tight.
have fun ...
