but we should be careful what we wish for. At the moment classic Saabs offer something very unique that you can buy on a shoesting. I suspect that's why your friends have bought them--they're probably pretty savy about classics and recognized the value. It won't be long before others jump on the bandwagon. I'm not sure how happy I'd be to see C900 convertibles and SPGs bringing $30 or $40K (unless I had one to keep and a couple to sell)--it would sure price me out of the market otherwise. I watched the same exact thing happen to cars like Healey 3000's and Triumph TR's. I used to buy them cheap, fix them up, drive them for a while and sell for a small profit to buy another one (yeah, I know, I should have hung onto a couple). Now the prices they bring are just nuts and the people who have them (along with 10 other great flawlessly retored classics) don't dare drive them for fear of putting a stone chip on them. Unfortunately it takes them out of the hands of the people who really enjoy them.
