Hi folks,
Looking for some opinions here. I'm a long time SAAB owner, have had 7 of them including a 9000 Aero, NG 900s, 9-3 and currently have an '04 9-5 Aero which I love, but I've never had a classic 900. This bothers me, it seems wrong of me! I crave for the original, the real deal!

I came accross this '88 convert., turbo, only 80k orig. miles (I am told). $1,900 strikes me as pretty cheap. It does need a new roof though. However, it has the 16 inch aero rims with decent tires, has new springs and shocks, ball joints and bearings, brakes. It has a little (very little, not very visible - probably quite easy to get fixed) rust on one whell well, and a little more on the door sills, which to be proper, would need repair / repaint. No holes or anything though, far from it. Seems like many things have been dealt with. Anything I really need to look for?

Finally, the interior is burgundy leather, which I don't like too much. Any ideas on the cost of swapping out for a different colour, including door panels, etc.? Is this simply overkill?

I'm thinking I'd probably enjoy this car a lot, but I also have access to a 9-3 cabrio which I can borrow from family on occasion when the urge strikes(automatic though, which sucks).

If I spend money on a new top, and maybe swap the interior, I'm thinking maybe I could re-sell it next year, and possibly make a bit of money on it? What are your thoughts? Am I delusional?! (I suppose that's possible!)

Thanks! :-)

John
