Passenger window switch shorting out

I have a 1989 Saab 900 turbo SPG, and the passenger window switch just last night stopped working correctly. What happens is the driver's side window and sun roof work perfectly, but as soon as I hit the passenger side, it breaks the fuse. Also, not sure if this would be related to the issue, but the switch, around the same time, started to feel as though it was gummed up by something. Any insight would be most helpful.
