Intercooler? B engine never had one.
Also
- Different engine valves. B Turbos use harder intake and sodium cooled exhaust valves.
- Oil return line from the turbo to the block. You'll need to drill and tap the hole.
- Different lamda controller. Turbos have a higher full throttle enrichment.
The compression of the B turbo was only 7.2:1. Using a N/A engine with 8.5:1 will limit the boost to probably to less than 5 psi.
I think it would be much easier to install high compression pistons, hot cam, and an exhaust performance header/system than
mess with all of the necessary turbo mods.
