Unless you like a LOT of fabrication & modification, don't look at the NG900 or 9-3 seats.
9000 seats CAN fit into a 1991 or later Classic 900, BUT:
1) no 9000 was ever built with front seats that tilt forward. All 9000s have 4 or 5 doors, so no need to tilt to let folks in the back.
2) If they are manual seats, you'll need to replace the knob that reclines the seat with the one from the current CV seats.
Since you have a 1989 CV, you're pretty much stuck with the 1981-1990 900 seats (except for the passive belt models). If you really wanted to, you could weld in the later seat mounting beams, I suppose...
