Remember that 1) all of the c900 Turbo engines had the same internals, and that 2) the SPG had various states of tune, mostly just done by swapping out the APC and went from 160HP with the -599 (stock for all turbo non-SPG or non-CE) to 175 HP in I believe 1990, and the CE had the "Red Box" along with the 2.8 bar FPR and took the numbers to 185HP. This was also sold as a kit at one point (good luck finding this!). What this means is that there is easily more room in this engine *without* having to do anything exotic. Basically "dicked with" is a very misleading statement. SPG APCs had a 127 suffix on the early ones (1987) and later ones had another number that I can't remember (maybe a 154 or 156? can't be sure). There were also minor changes with the distributor with the suffix going from a stock -007 to a -008 and then to a -010. But basically the APC and the FPR were the main changes and they just bolted on.

And if you really want to take a walk on the wild side... go to the right front were the Fuel ECU is, jumper the wires that go to the sensor over the drivers clutch foot together at said ECU and bypass that mess altogether (do a search, basically unplug the pair that runs to the drivers side, and replug them back to each other, a very short loop), get a Forge Motorsport or similar Hooter valve and wastgate actuator (former easy to install, latter not so much..., get a graduated boost gauge and use it to set up your base boost *PROPERLY* please! and see how far you can bury the boost needle. Leave the stock APC in place so that the knock sensor can still do it's job...

When I get my computer back I'll post it.

Webmail is sad...
