I just used it to hold in some sheet metal patches to repair two rust spots on my rear fender edges. I didn't want to weld in the patches and create more headaches so I used J-B to hold the patches then put a slight amount of filler over the patch, sanded and painted. It seems very solid. I don't know that I'd use it to repair any pressure systems, but I don't know what kind of pressure is involved with steering.
