or equivalent smooth round object of your choice - insert ball so that it seals the rubber intake manifold boot
then apply low air pressure using your bike pump valve at vacuum line. Use soapy water (bubble bath is good) and a brush to check for leakage especially around intake and exhaust manifolds, vacuum lines and injector seals.
if not a leak then timing or excessive fuel pressure
