First: to each his own.

I've never been a fan of the maroon interior. I'm not a fan of taking the center console out either. The console represented the next generation of c900s in 82-83 when they came out. It makes the care more homey, without it, it seems like you're sitting in your basement or something. There's not much storage to put stuff without the console, otherwise stuff just flies around on the passenger seat and the door panel fills up quickly. I have never felt the need for the extra foot room either.

I'm not a fan of Jouko's dash fabrication. Moving the radio and heat controls down totally defeats the purpose of the way the whole dash was designed in having the control within eye view close to the windshield to minimally distract the drivers eyes from the road and be close enough to the driver for them to use the controls without having to reach for the controls. I have driven a lot of cars that are the total opposite from this concept and found it very uncomfortable. Low and behold this discomfort has always turned me back to the c900. Keep the car the way those great swedish engineers designed it.
