That seems to be a bit excessive to me.....once you put 3 liters into the dipstick filler hole, the oil migrates forward to the primary chain, and it in turn picks up the oil, the propeller on the input shaft slings it around and then it falls into the cup adjacent to the primary chain that returns it to the rest of the gearbox. Maybe it would run slightly dry for a short period of time, but it seems that it would be distributed after the oil thins from warming up. Maybe I am all wet on this.....
