i'd like to locate the problem but the issue Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Sun, 21 Feb 2010 18:26:34 In Reply to: Vvack- something has a bad connection, or vac leak of, Nicknick [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 21 Feb 2010 16:10:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
only arises once in a blew moon where the car will run just like crap one day and then the next 2 or 3 weeks it will run fine then out of nowhere the idling drops and she's just all over the place with the idle i tried boosting while the car had this problem with the idling issue and it wouldn't it was as if there was water in the gas (how it preformed while trying to boost) i pulled it along side of the road and unplugged and replugged the throttle position sensor, aic, twisted and turned the fuel injectors made sure their plug connection was tight, knocked the distributor cap around along with the wire to it, and then backed the dash pot off a little being its becoming a little stiff keeping the idle high, even though the motor has a idle drop issue. after going across all these points the motor is running fine once again, boosting hard as it ever was. so far it hasnt had an idle issue since the post. the motor has a rock solid 800 with a.c. 950 without with no idle flux. i just wish i knew what one was the culprit because after a few weeks from now ill be sitting at a stop lite and out of the blew the motor will plummet to 500 and the hole episode will happen again.
this issue has been going on for the past 5 years, being one day out of a month the car has pms in a bad way. chaz had always suggested the ntc sensor however i can see it being the problem because the points i go over cures the problem, i never touch the ntc sensor to try and fix the issue... i do have very old injectors (im not using the 30 lb.s being i find no point) anyhow is it possible for a injector to have pms once every 2 weeks?
