The 14mm cap looks just like any other hex-head nut. It is on a flat area on the back of the casting kind of near the top.

The rubber boots with the plastic caps are indeed the pins that the caliper slides on. You will need to take them out. They are 7mm internal hex.

A WORD OF CAUTION: Once you take the 14mm cap-nut off to access the adjustment mechanism with the 4mm allen wrench, DON'T FORCE THE MECHANISM. You should be able to turn the adjustment screw with light pressure until it stops turning. As soon as it stops turning, that's it. Don't turn it more. It is not a screw that will back out. It is a shaft with a cog on the end. The cog engages a gear on the internal adjustment mechanism. If you force it beyond it's normal stopping point you will strip the teeth on the cog and adjustment will be impossible without a rebuild. The teeth are sturdy enough if you use moderate pressure, but fragile if you overdo it.
