I was surprised if it was the relay and not the ignition switch to- but the RELAY is 20+ yrs old and so I'm doing it anyway. Good to know that the 50A still does the job but I'll keep it as a spare.

Yes I will test and polish up the grounds but there' is a solid click- I doubt its a 3 year old starter.

It appears to be the switch that was acting up- I spent most of yesterday with my nose in the shifter area. I had to make a tool to remove the 3 "Y" nuts- I hacksawed the edges of a 11mm socket to get them out-

Its a PITA working in the area because the clearances are tight and I scraped/cut my hands up on all the vinyl and metal edges.And I had to dremel a bottom casing bolt to be able to pull the bottom plate that houses the switch pin rocker lever.

But the switch is finally in and assembled. and it started albeit it in the second key turn- so I may still have something goin on- but that is better than having nothing-
