sugegst no fiddling with the relays -
that swing you are experiencing is fairly common - according to saab it occurs when the o2 sensor is given the responsibility for moderating fuel injection too quickly - does the pulse valve actually buzz when engine is running?
first if you have disconnected the up shift connection might as well remove the relay too near the fuse box
second make sure your cold start injector actually works - - you can test it by removing and cranking over a cold engine - it should send fuel into a cup - the CSV works regardless of ambient temp - its engine temp that determines its functionality
third - you can adjust your fuel mixture which may be the actual culprit - you will need a dwell meter to connect to the port - I or someone can provide details or visit bad habit rabbit or similar cis site
fourth - test your 02 sensor - are you getting swings on the voltage?
fifth - make sure AAR is fully closed at operating temp
sixth - let us know what color thermoswitches you have on the block and under the thermostat: red, black or white and report back
bentley will help
