The two I bought last year looked like new parts. No idea how they do it, but I was very impressed. The main guy there (John I think) rushed the job for me at no additional cost & even left them outside in one of their "project cars" for me to pick up after hours. He also let me slide on (not) returning the cores bc he had a few extras. THAT'S how you do business.
PS, I don't know which type of driver the pn you refered to corresponds to, but if you have a pre-1986 c900 &/or have the earlier "three ring" drivers due to a tranny swap, availibility might be an issue.
PPS, Be prepared to deal w/a LOT of crud after you pull the driver carriers. I RR'd ID's on an prev rebuilt transaxle which had been flushed no less than x4 times prior to the RS driver failing. Despite the flushing overkill, the amt of ground up metal & crud in the carrier bearings was unbelievable. There are small "cups" at the bottom of the carriers adjacent the bearingd designed to retain oil, but they also collect debris....took a lot of effort to clean it out. Rec you do the detent ball/spring mod while you're under there...the reverse shift dog mod too if you have time.
