Yes, the fans are pricey, BUT as you say, do you Posted by nicknick [Email] (#731) [Profile/Gallery] (more from nicknick) on Wed, 28 Jul 2010 18:15:35 In Reply to: Price Check On Isle #1 !!!, ragtop, Wed, 28 Jul 2010 10:26:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
really need one/both? If your a/c works, you should see them both running. If you have a small amount of diy inclination, or a friendly local oil change type guy, just hit both fans with 12v and see how they run. I collect fans because of how much they cost, and have a small stack of used/working ones-i would happily send you one or two if you cover the shipping. Of course, the dealer wouldn't like that! Yes, you are a cash cow. If you don't know how to DIY your 20 year old saab, you will get taken every chance they get. And it's too late to complain after they have done the work and you paid them. $1800 would buy a reasonable C900....
Buy a Bently (workshop manual), some nice Snap-on tools (i don't buy snap-on, too pricey for me, but i don't go to the dealer, either!), and get hooked up with eeuroparts (site sponser) and in no time you'll be knocking this stuff out so quickly you'll wonder why you ever went to the stealer!
Good luck, and get a good hand cleaner!
