I usually use a miti-vac and suck the fluid through the slave, but pushing it through from the top will work just the same.
Get your pressure bleeder set up. You probably don't even need 10 PSI. Open the slave's nipple and let 6 or so oz. of fluid out so you know it has no air. close the nipple, and remove your bleeder.
Now, you still may not have a good pedal. I've found that you need to pump the clutch pedal as many as 50 or so times before it totally comes on line. Make sure you do your pumping with the bleeder CLOSED.
Why does it work? I don't know, it just does.
