The shift ball appears to be in good shape. The shifter and transmission are from a 1992 900 base model, and the car I transplanted them into is a 1991 900 turbo. I read that the later models had a metal lower ball in the shifter, but this one is plastic. Hmm.. interesting. I'll keep you guys updated on my progress, I probably won't get around to working on this until next weekend. Thanks again for the help.
