low pressure switch (at receiver/drier) continuity are needed to run A/C clutch relay plus signal on red/white wire from engine computer. After relay turns on, to run clutch it needs continuity on high coolant temp switch (in upper radiator hose). If compressor has an overheat switch mounted on it, needs continuity on that to run clutch. Bentley manual has different schematics for 1985, 86-88, 89-90, 91-93 N/T, and 91-93 T, which are slightly different. If clutch has worn down or become slippery from escaping oil from compressor rotating seal, it may not grab compressor rotor tightly enough to turn it, when clutch magnet has engaged.
