Hi all,

Still stuck with base boost, please read previous post too:

First I freed up the wastegate lever with some penetrating high temp oil with teflon. I can easily swing the arm (lever) on turbohousing from left to right with minimal finger touch, so that's good.

I now tried to take off the hose from the solenoid (marked W) and take a spin... boost is way up to red so I immediately released the pedal... so the mechanics for the turbo and wastegate are fine.

Still I am stuck in mostly base boost.

I tried all other tests as per Townsend except the knock sensor. I did read some mV when tapped with a screwdriver so I figured it's fine. Will try to hook on a spare one see if that helps.

What could be causing my base boost?

How do I check if vacuum advance on ignition is ok?

Any help, please.... this is driving me nuts (at base boost that is ;-)
