You will find lots of info about the V6 engine.
No, there are no signs of sludge problems whatsoever in the V6 engine.
The engine got an unfair reputation due to that Saab and GM did not know what they had built and how to service it.
It was multiple early timing belt failures due to lack of understanding the system and replacing all timing belt components when servicing the belt.
Now since many years back, we don't hear about any timing belt failures since most shops have learned how to deal with them.
Valve cover gaskets have a tendency to leak also.
But I still say that it depends on the price and what the car looks like overall.
