Or when you are trying to separate the shift shaft from the coupling, just apply pressure to the shift lever in the forward position and it comes right off the shaft after the nut is freed from torque captivity. Like you are shifting into third gear....no need to move the engine.
The question is, WHY do you need to take out the taper pin?
