These doors may not want to close because the work of pulling the door in is too much for that little spring, when rust gets into the hinge itself.
With the door off the car and the link loop removed from the spring, you can free this up easiest with some thin solvent and LOTS of opening and closing, till rust inside is crumbled and sort of flushed out.
Also where the long loopy spring thing rides, it can get a little bound up, you might apply wax or grease to ease this in its action.
