Brake issue, not transmission???

The symptoms I described seems to be responded to as a brake issue. I do not know if it is brakes or transmission (automatic). Car felt sluggish before skidding to a stop. Brakes would cause that...not the transmission? This is a difference between some new brake parts and flushing the system or a new transmission (which means its going to car heaven, without a thought).

This is by far the most bizarre experience I've had with a car and do not trust it if i can drive it all day, then hear a noise and 10 minutes later it screeches to a halt with $3000+ in damage. Saab are beautiful cars, but I can't afford it if it's this fragile. And, someone could have been hurt seriously from this frantic malfunction in Los Angeles rush-hour traffic.

I'm towing it to an indy mechanic who specializes in Saabs today. I can only pray until I hear word back. If its the transmission, I'm going to buy me a chevy. In the end, I just need a car that works.

I pray its the brakes so that I can keep her from being made into soda cans.
