...and it behaves as expected in D. I don't notice any vagueness with the shifter, it feels exactly as it should and the detents are precisely where they should be with no strangeness in between... I've only put about 100km on the car so far and for 98km of those, it has felt absolutely fantastic.

I have noticed that the fluid level is above the top detent... I assume by flush you mean drain and refill to the correct level a few times? And yes I know to use Type F :)
