The Saab doors are really crash worthy yes? Had my 90 sedan totalled when GF went to put windows up; storm rapidly approaching and I was cleaning gum off her 94 vert automatic. Car parked on hill. She was used to automatic, accidently started car in reverse and in 5 seconds the opend door hit the no parking sign in front of my house. Door bent and jammed forward into fender, hinges bent. Anyway State Farm totaled car at repair cost of just under $2,000. They offered me something like $1250 and let me have the car back for about $80. Can't remeberexact amounts. Bought used hinges in same color (marine blue. Bought a new Miller matic mig welder, will inlay a fender patch this summer, do some very minor body work to door as most damage was to hinges. Paint and materials about $90. ave lots of other things to use welder on. Car still worth about $1200 as a good runner. All in all you can make out if the other guy had insurance.Take no less than $1,300 but only if you get the car. The high price of fuel, the good milage is another bargaining point. Any new tires, or other expenses etc. Help also. You are lucky to be uninjured. Or are you. Watch for neck issues, see a chiropractor.
