The box below the intake in the hood has a drain - the bottom of the box slopes toward the engine to this drain. You can carefully - watch out for damage to and cuts from the fins on the AC coil - clean the gunk out that can plug this drain. I try to clean this out in the fall before winter rains here in the NW. The drain goes to a rubber/plastic tube that then goes thru a hole into the wheelwell I think. Some water and small stick and a piece of a sponge can be used to clean the bottom drain area and then flushed to make sure it's draining. The tube can get pulled off the box, letting the drainage run down onto the seal that seals the box to the firewall - and if this seal is not sealing it runs down inside. It's fairly easy - tho messy - to seal up the seal with silicone sealant from the engine side. I find a blob on my finger worked onto/into the seal and repeated till I get all the bottom and a couple inches up each side to do the trick.
