There are several different variations of the cluster, as I found out when I tried to produce such a thing back in 2000 or so. Then, years later someone got a company making "indiglo" type gauges to produce them, and the manufacturer hadn't done their due diligence and discovered much too far down the road as I did that not all Saabs are created equal.

You have:

Turbo and non
7,000rpm tachs and 8,000rpm tachs
85mph speedos and 125mph speedos
Early fonts/graphics and late fonts/graphics
The odometer cinched up under the speedo axle and dropped down a bit

Each individual cluster was only used for a two or three years at most. You need to know what you're developing for before you go down this road. Either you are going to make a product for a couple years worth of cars or have a LOT of inventory. :(

Frankly, I think time & effort would be better spent figuring out how to adapt standard VDO or Autometer gauges to Saab functions. We all have bouncy speedometers, intermittently functional odometers, and inaccurate fuel gauges. It would be great to have as-new gauges in there rather than old stuff that looks good. It's just a matter of getting a speedo signal to the cluster (easy), a speedo signal to the computer (hard) and finding fuel and temp gauges that match the impedance of the existing senders, or new senders that will fit in the same spot.

My $0.02, anyway!
