When I first got this 88 SPG I had some disappointments as floor was rusted due to wet floor carpet foam insulation. The car sat a while then I started using it for daily driver. The car was scary as when I'd kick in the turbo the car would accelerate faster than any of the 8 900's I have or had. The needle would boost into the red, the car wanted to torque hard to the right. Frankly, it scared me and second I realy did not know how to drive it. Lately the turbo starts to give the same boost, but now cuts out as if plugs are failig or the over boost switch is coming in early, where before it seemed not to do it;s job as the boost into the red maybe half way was quick, smooth and unimpaired. But I kept thinking it should not boost that high. I have been running high test this last tank while before the rapid boost into red was on 87 octane as well as with about 1/2 the tank of 93 octane. I am wondering if it's the anti knock, but if so why now? After reading junk 900 Junky I ordered plugs from Site sponsor. I got 4 of the iridium and 4 of the cheaper , some wires, rotor , and over $357.00 of other stuff, not for the ignition system. If this doesn't fix the missing what else should I do?
