1. clutch slave cylinder bolts, stupid hard to remove, took forever
A special made tiny ratchet with a ball socket Allen bit fitted.
2. shifter attachment link, stupid hard to remove
Air hammer and give the tapered pin a fast precise whack. But some use a C-clamp to add pressure to the pin.
3. air conditioner bracket, stupid design, stupid hard to remove the bolt at the bottom
Never take the bracket out. I always loosen the 4 bolts and nuts for compressor which is much quicker with an 17mm 3/8" impact wobble socket and some different extension.
Back when I did a lot of these transmission rebuilds, it took about 30 min to get the engine out after the car was situated on the hoist.
Would not be able to do that time now since I barely remember the order things comes apart.
Pulling engines and transmission are almost a lost art with the modern Saab's I work on now.
