A C900 has no idea how many miles or kilometers you have to go on your tank. There is no computer to track it. The light is a simple switch in the sender unit.
9000s had a rudimentary system in place, which got a bit better in the 9-3s and 9-5s, but even there, it's a "best guess" based on how high the level is, and on the accuracy of the sender.
Typical stated spec for the low fuel light is about 2-2.5 gallons in a C900. It can vary a bit, depending on the specific sender unit. Most 900s had a "float in a tube" type level sender, which isn't easily adjustable, if at all.
