Substitute for Tie Rod Grease Seal? Posted by Roger D [Email] (#1121) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Roger D) on Wed, 14 Dec 2011 12:06:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm building a collection of tie rods with cracked rubber seals. The rod ends are tight and they still have a supply of grease. I remember using a Honda ball joint boot(left over from a family members unexpected totaling of that car). It was slightly tighter than desired but got me by. Anyone discovered a reasonably available boot that might fit? I've probably replaced 20 tie rods that had cracked boot ends for everyone that was loose and had play. Reduce-reuse-recycle
