blacksheep,
As I'm told 9K brake MC should be bolt-on replacement for MkII hydro-unit. Other parts - like a new brake line for the rear axle, wiring stuff and so forth - doesn't scare me much. I think this mod is something between 9K brakes installation and Trionic upgrade (the later is considered to be twice harder then MkII -> MkIV modification).
The only thing that I'm still curious about is the vehicle speed threshold that turns ABS off - usually it's about 3-5 km\h, but if you're staying with C900 wheel sensors (I mean the rings on the CV's and hubs) then MkIV should see higher speed then the actual one and thus this can affect ABS performance when you brake hard at near-stopped speeds. I think that wheel sensors can be adjusted thru service software (like isat, tech2), but that's just a wild guess, I haven't disassembled MkIV firmware.
Other than that I do consider this to be the best option for MkII fix should it fail badly.
