I highly suggest taking apart a spare first. I had like 4 that I had gone through and was fed up when I finally did my own. Did you know that the refurbished ones from NAPA and other stores do not have the internal oil seal replaced? That was an expensive realization for me. Got the repair right on the first try and not a drop of oil since.
The seal can be found at NAPA - part number is 4912. You will need two of them stacked once they are in there. Remove the dizzy from the engine, remove cap, rotor, sheild, and vacuum advance if you have one. Be very careful with the electrical connection - that is the most common failure that I have found. To remove the shaft there is a black flat/round piece on the end of the dizzy where it goes into the engine. To remove that flat/round piece, there is a cylindrical pin going through it. That is the real bastard to take out. I pressed it out with a metal vice and a nail. You may need a friend to help you stabilize it while you work the press. Make sure it is lined up correctly - it's not that you will break anything, it will just spin the shaft and you will lose your grip if it's not centered as you press. Once that's out, you can remove the shaft and see where the seals are. I took three dizzies apart to make one good one. I have found that some 008s are different than others. On one, I could not get to the oil seal for some reason - it was different than the others and there was no way to pry it out. I took the good parts from that one and frankensteined a really nice one. You should replace the o-ring where it connects to the engine as well while you are in there. You can get that from eeuroparts or any other Saab source.
Things to watch out for: bent shaft, twisted or damaged wiring, vacuum advance not tight (that will throw off your timing every time you boost), ditributor with new o-ring not going in far enough to engage the camshaft when plugged back into the engine (that was the cause of a no-start for me. I took everything back apart and couldn't figure it out. The new o-ring was so snug that i didnt realize it wasn't pushed in all the way. Stupid me.).
Sorry I didn't take pics. Good luck - it is pretty satisfying when you do it yourself.
